About these terms
These terms apply to the loans514.com website, run by Loans514 ("we", "us"). By using the site or sending an application through it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information and forms part of these terms.
What Loans514 does
Loans514 is a loan-matching service. We send your application to partner lenders in our network. We are not a lender, we don't make lending decisions, and we don't arrange or sign loans on your behalf.
We can't promise that a lender will contact you, approve you, or offer a particular amount, rate or term. If you take a loan, the agreement is between you and the lender, under the lender's contract. The lender is responsible for telling you the cost of borrowing, setting any fees, and handling your payments.
Who can use the site
You must be at least 18 and old enough to enter a contract where you live. You may only apply for yourself, not for another person.
Your application
- The information you give must be true, complete and your own. Lenders rely on it to decide whether to offer you a loan.
- Giving false information can lead to your application being refused and may be an offence.
- By applying, you agree that your information can be collected through our application platform and shared with partner lenders, as described in our privacy policy.
- A lender that responds may contact you by phone or email and may ask you to verify your bank account or check your credit. Its own terms and privacy policy apply to what it does.
Estimates and general information
The payment calculator, rates, fees and examples on this site describe terms typical of lenders in our network. They are estimates, not loan offers. Your lender's contract shows your actual rate, fees and payment schedule.
Nothing on this site is financial, legal or tax advice. If you're struggling with debt, a non-profit credit counsellor can help. Credit Counselling Canada lists counsellors near you.
Other companies' services and sites
Our application form is provided by intelligentlds, bank verification is done by a third-party provider chosen by the lender, and the site links to other websites. These services and sites have their own terms. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or how they work.
Using the site properly
Don't use the site to break the law, to send applications or messages for someone else, or to send spam. Don't use automated tools to submit forms or copy the site, and don't try to get around its security or disrupt it.
Our content
The Loans514 name, logo, text and design of this site belong to us. You can view and share pages for personal use. Don't copy or reuse them commercially without our written permission.
No guarantees about the site
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it as it is. It may sometimes be unavailable, and information may change or contain errors. Lenders' terms can change without notice.
Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for a lender's decisions, its loan or how it services it, or for indirect or consequential losses that come from using the site.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived by agreement.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Ontario, unless the consumer protection law of your province gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
